If you haven’t visited Cardiff Indoor Flea Market, then you have missed a real treat. Located just off Newport Road, on Clydesmuir Road Industrial Estate in Tremorfa, this immense warehouse is home to a diverse range of stalls offering all sorts of goodies….and I bet you didn’t even know it was there!
If you enjoy hunting through treasure troves and finding bargains, this is the place for you. Come and have a good look around. Amongst other things, you will see loads of stuff that you remember from your childhood. If you aren’t uttering “well look at that” at least a few times, well then you have no nostalgia in your soul!
Historically, markets are good for second hand items, curios and antiques. That is what you will find here, by the truck load. And that is not all… side by side you will also find jewellery, furniture renovation, china, crystal, clothing & uniforms, ceramics, fabrics, DVDs, CDs & vinyl, musical instruments, paintings, original designs, retro, vintage and steampunk…there is something for everyone.
But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself. Enjoy a good look around this fascinating market. Chat to the stallholders, they’re friendly, not at all pushy and a pretty knowledgeable bunch really.
If you are looking for a unique gift for someone, want to treat yourself to something or just want to enjoy having a mooch around the stalls, then, as they say on TV… ‘come on down’. There’s an on-site café serving drinks, snacks and light meals, so you can stop for a cuppa before continuing your exploration.
Allow yourself a decent amount of time…it’s bigger than you realize. Time your visit right (Saturday for instance) and you can view the many items that will be in the auction on Sunday at 10am. Auctions are held every Sunday and there are some real bargains to be had (I got a job lot of vacuum cleaners…2 Vacs and a Kirby…all working…for £6. Brilliant!). I would recommend the auctions for their entertainment value alone. Auctioneer John, who has the most amazing moustache I’ve seen in ages, is highly amusing with quite a dry sense of humour, as well as a dab hand at moving the proceedings along. It’s all good fun and there is no telling what you might come away with.
So what are you waiting for; Cardiff Indoor Flea Market is open Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays
9am-5pm. See you soon.

This place is huge with 19 stalls, you can be in there like literally hours looking around. I didn’t even know it was there and I only live in tremorfa for 11 years, granted I don’t get out much though but I wish to go here soon a perfect treasure trove for me.
