Summertime is supposedly here!
Cardiff Indoor Flea Market is brimming with stuff suitable for these summer months, including umbrellas…well we are talking British Summertime… which is only slightly different to British Wintertime usually!!
So what might you find amongst the antiques, vintage and retro items on offer?
Well, throughout the market there’s a great selection of china and glassware, ideal for those al fresco dining days. Don’t forget those cake domes to keep the flies off the food. Though if that doesn’t work, they have apparently come up with a spray that makes flies amorous…it doesn’t kill them but you are able to swat two at a time!
How about some lovely cushions and throws in case things get a bit chilly and some lovely lighting items for when the sun goes down. There’s bunting, table cloths and napkins and if you would rather hire china for your summer event then please speak to Jubs at Aunty’s Attic or Maggie at Ruby’s Vintage (Etsy Shop: OccasionsFinerChina) for a quote or more details. Other stallholders are happy to hire items as well so feel free to ask.
Wander around and you’ll find loads of pressies for those summer parties: items for the gardening enthusiasts such as pots, garden ornaments, tools and I’ve even seen seeds up here somewhere…and a garden knome! There’s cricket bats, tennis rackets, crocket and bowls and for the less energetic amongst you, chess sets and draughts. Or maybe you just fancy laying around and watching the wildlife or birds (of the feathered variety of course). Take a look at the vast array of binoculars to be found around the market, as well as the odd telescope.
There’s also a good selection of vinyl available for easy summer listening, which should be done accompanied by a refreshing drink from elegant crystal glasses daahling! Lots of crystal up here.
So, if you are finding the weather a bit difficult to cope with, then come rain or shine, Cardiff Indoor Flea Market is the place to be. Come on over for an amble around this interesting treasure trove of items and ideas. …there’s something for everyone.
